I can understand that it's not good to be playing video and arcade games for excessive amount of hours because it can lead to headaches, eye sore, and/or seizures, but gaming disorder being invented as a new disorder really confuses me because I would have to agree with Cassie Sanderford that gaming helps with anything such as reducing stress, making you concentrate more, thinking fast, be more smarter, and is not necessarily a disorder. Even I play video and arcade games to reduce stress. :/

  2. I agree that gaming can be addictive and more people need to practice restraint on how much they play games. I play games quite regularly and I can fully control my gaming habit. These people who demonise games yet have never touched a game need to learn and understand what gaming is about and why people love it so much. I’d rather stay in with a couple of ciders rather than go out to a pub and blow all of my money on one night out. I can also turn a game off through my own choice and spend time with my wife and kids without thinking about games.
