The Awkward Silence | Friendship & Mental Health | Ad Council

(clock ticking) (fast upbeat music) – Do you. – Ha. Um. – Listen you’re my friend. – I noticed you haven’t really been yourself recently – Yeah, I feel like something’s up. – How are you? – Are you okay? – Is there anything
you want to talk about? – I just want to know how you’re feeling. – And listen even if you don’t know what to say. – I’m here to talk. – No matter what you’re going through. – I just want you to know I’m here. – I’ve got your back. – When you want to talk, I’m here. (fast upbeat music)

  1. When you nearly start crying cause the first time someone's cared enough to ask about your wellbeing was a commercial.

  2. This made my night…..i suffer from mental issues and none ever says this to me….just to hear this made me cry and smiles cuz at least some people care..

  3. I’ve been mentally ill for my whole life, starting with OCD and anxiety then gaining all different types of depression and food issues and so much more. Yesterday, I was talking to my friend and we were talking about mental health and I admitted to someone for the first time that I’d been mentally ill for so long and that I’ve wanted to end my life before. She filled the awkward silence and I got to finally admit this. This is the most real and impressive mental health ads I’ve seen. Thank you

  4. What if you aren't trustworthy of your friend because they threaten you with secrets you keep between each other and you can't tell them anything because you're scared but they are weirdly one of the best friends you've ever had and makes you feel good but also makes you want to stop living?

  5. That's mah boi, Markimoo 😄😄😄 omg,so happy that these are there to care for us.. I just wish Mark could at least talk to me😢but my lord I luvvvvv him so much❤️❤️❤️

  6. Wonder why this is liked by mark if he can’t be more cautious with his community. I love the man but common dude it’s YOUR COMMUNITY. This has to be in you tumblr so no one will do something to hurt themselves

  7. You know what makes me really happy about this video? The fact that there will most probably be Markimoo's interview. It's been so long since he's done this, yeeees!

  8. Amazing PSA! Great job Remi! Means a lot to see people talking about this. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia 2 years ago and it’s important to talk about mental health.

  9. Considering that I have insomnia and partially have mental issues and teased about it being called mental , weird and just a freak hits me like a brick and I feel like I have no one to talk to so thanks guys for helping ….

  10. Man, I wish my gf can be like that. She just stopped talking to me one day and then we just forgot all about each other.

  11. Every time this comes on tv I get so excited that I run in the living room or my mom's room to watch it. One time I ran so fast I tripped and hit my hip bone on my wooden dresser 😂

  12. MARKIMOO!!!!!!!!!!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

  13. I saw this a few minutes ago. I saw Mark for a quick second. I was like. "Nah that's not Mark." Then I went back and looked at the commercial. I was like "MARK!" So I came here to make sure I wasn't going crazy

  14. haha stuff /is/ up with me, wish someone /would/ talk to me about it. too bad i'm not friends with any famous youtubers .-.

  15. What I really can't stand about this campaign (and it applies to the We Can Help Us one too) is how it is listed as a suicide prevention PSA, yet none of them can mention suicide by name. When the Ad Council has been responsible for ads using the word "condom" as early as 1994, I really don't see how they can't run an Ad that directly mentions suicide in 2019.

  16. I was surprised when I saw Markiplier in a commercial video, but it was so cool to see YouTubers participate in this!

  17. THAT WAS SO WEIRD I’m at my grandparent’s house and I just glance at the tv and I just see Markiplier. It was this commercial but my god that was weird.
