IS MENTAL HEALTH, THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM? | LANRE MALAOLU

“Snap out of it man, big man don’t feel them tings, just go to the gym innit?” “We all have our ups and downs… it’s life” “we all feel these feelings every now and then, things can be tough sometimes you’ve just got to stay positive and keep going.” We should probably talk
about the elephant in the room… sometimes you wake up and it’s just there, staring
at you while feeling as much a part of you as your ability to see or touch I
guess the only difference being the moment that moment when you realise it’s there and in that moment for a split second in that moment it’s okay
you know it’s livable you can still operate but it never stays that way does
it it always attracts more hitting you from left right and centre. “Did you know elephants spend about 16 hours a day eating?” And there’s this deep
pit at the bottom of your stomach that takes you on a 24-hour rollercoaster you
did not want to go on and no matter what you do it won’t stop just keeps going and
going and… “Did you know elephants have over 100,000 different muscles in their
trunks?” And you keep asking yourself these questions and your questions questions
that ultimately means nothing but holds too much weight… “Oh did you know elephants can weigh anything up to 23 tonnes?” And before you know it you can’t breathe,
you can’t see, you can feel but too much but it’s all really okay you’re a man so
you snap out because everyone feels these types of feelings every now and then so it’s all really okay and we all have our ups and downs
so you snap out of it cuz big man don’t fill them tings and you’re sure you’ll
be fine so it’s all really okay and you just go
gym because things can be tough sometimes but you just gotta stay
positive and keep going because we all have our ups and down so it’s all really
okay and it’s… It’s… And it’s all really okay. Because everyone feels these types of feelings every now and then and you’re sure you’ll be fine so you snap out of it and stay positive because big man don’t feel them tings and we all have our
ups and down so you snap out of it go gym because things can be tough sometimes but you’ve gotta stay positive and keep going cause everyone feels
these feelings every now and then and you’re sure you’ll be fine so you snap out of it and stay positive cos big man dont feel them tings and you open your eyes…
you look around and you see that… There’s no elephant in the room.
